Lake: Fall is one of the best seasons as cooling water temperatures trigger aggressive feeding throughout the lake. Bass move to mid-depth structure around points, drop-offs, and secondary creek channels in September and October.
Swimbait: Best season — bass targeting large shad. Match the size of forage exactly. Shad colors.
Lake: Winter fishing is still productive with bass relating to deeper main-lake structure and the deepest canyon ledges. Slow presentations like drop-shot rigs and finesse baits work best in 45-55°F water temperatures.
Swimbait: Slow down the retrieve dramatically. Big fish are lethargic but will eat a slow-moving large profile.
