Lake: Spring on Lake Moultrie brings aggressive bass feeding as water temperatures warm, with spawning fish moving into shallow cypress-lined coves and vegetation. Look for pre-spawn and spawn activity from late March through May, targeting laydowns and emerging vegetation.
Flipping & Pitching: Pitch to buck brush and flooded timber during pre-spawn. Jig or crawfish-colored creature bait.
Lake: Summer bass retreat to deeper structure and the thermocline during peak heat, with early morning and evening topwater action in shallow areas. Deeper holes and channels near cypress swamps hold quality fish throughout the hot afternoons.
